Singing in the Rain: A Benefit Concert for Victims of Typhoon Haiyan
On the November 8th, 2013, a super typhoon ravaged the Philippines. Complete regions were torn apart, and over 10,000 were then pronounced dead while 600,000 more were said to have been displaced.
A week after, on Friday, November 15, the Harvard Philippine Forum held "Singing in the Rain", a benefit concert for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. At the door, guests were invited to give a $5 donation to directly benefit relief efforts currently ongoing in the Philippines. Over 400 people attended the concert. We raised over $3,500 in cash and over $3,000 on our Indiegogo page. Thank you so much to everyone who showed their support on that night.
